BAGUIO CITY is a city in the mountainous area of the Northern Luzon, Philippines. It is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines, owning to its cool climate. Baguio City is one of the country’s top tourist destinations. During the year end holidays some people from the lowlands prefer spending their vacation in Baguio, to experience cold temperatures they rarely have in their home provinces. Also, during summer, especially during Holy Week, tourists from all over the country flock to the city. So here are some amazing places in Baguio.
THE LIONS HEAD – is a statue along Kennon Road, a major highway in Luzon, Philippines, that leads to the city of Baguio.
STRAWBERRY FARM – Strawberry farm is located nearby La Trinidad, Benguet. Picking fresh strawberries is one of the most awesome experiences on the outskirts of Baguio. It is a fun activity for your family, especially for the kids.

BURNHAM PARK – Burnham Park is considered to be one of the most famous parks in the country. You may rent a boat and go rowing on the lake. A range of bicycles, including tandem bikes, children’s bikes and bikes with side cars for small children are available for rental. It is located in Jose Abad Santos Drive, Baguio City 2600 Benguet Philippines.

WRIGHT PARK – The entrance to Wright Park across The Mansion leads to an area called the “Pool of the Pines.” With its long and shallow pool lined by pine trees on either side, Wright Park is perfect for leisurely walks and you can rent a horse to roam around the park.

MINES VIEW PARK – is one of the most well-known and most visited among the tourists attractions in Baguio City because of their astonishing panoramic view that overlooks the mining town of Itogon and Amburayan Valley. It is located at the northeast side of Baguio City.

CAMP JOHN HAY – Was formerly a military base of the United States Armed Forces. This photo was taken at the back of Manor Hotel. It is located in old location at the Upper Session Road-Loakan Road-South Drive rotunda.

BELL CHURCH – Bell Church is a magnificent Taoist Church that sits between Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet. It is mostly red with a lot of dragon highlights built into it and a peaceful and serene lotus pond nearby.

OUR LADY OF THE ATONEMENT CATHEDRAL – Better known as Baguio Cathedral. The cathedral has a distinctive pink facade with a rose window and twin square belfries with pyramidal roofs. It is located at Cathedral Loop adjacent to Session Road in Baguio.

DOMINICAN HILL RETREAT HOUSE – Commonly known as the Diplomat Hotel. is an abandoned structure atop Dominican Hill, Baguio . They have a panoramic view of the city unfolds from its vantage point, the stone crucifix on the outdoor patio of the hotel’s second floor.

BEN CAB MUSEUM – The museum houses the artist’s collections of his own works, as well as those of acknowledged Filipino masters and rising contemporary artists. The museum commands a breathtaking view of the adjacent garden, farm, hill and mini-forest, the surrounding mountains, and the South China sea in the distant west. It is located on Km. 6 Asin Road, Baguio City.
